HISTORY OF OUR LEGAL PRACTICE

Founded in 1959 by Antonio Baró Armengol, this legal practice first specialised in mercantile law. This led to a further specialisation in bankruptcy and, more specifically in the field of insolvency procedures deriving from company crises arising from bankruptcy and moratoria on payments.

The first location of our practice was at Carrer Bruch 13 and later on, due to the increase in workload and a need for having more suitable infrastructure, it was necessary to transfer the office to Infanta Carlota 124 (1970) and to Diagonal 453 (1972). It was in 1975 that the present offices in Via Augusta 13-15 were purchased.

From 1959 to 1975 the only practitioner was Mr Baró but in 1975, when the office was transferred to Via Augusta, a legal partnership was established which continued until 2000.

On December 31, 2000, it was agreed that the above - mentioned partnership would be brought to an end. After a new project was interrupted by the death of Antonio Baró Armengol on February 11, 2001, the present partnership was constituted by Antonio Baró Casals and Carlos Gambero Castro. Josep Gajo Santamaria and Esther Fernández Conejo joined the project as partners shortly afterwards.

Since its establishment in 1959, some outstanding professionals of remarkable ability have shared their expertise and effort with Bufete Baró. Among these, we would like to mention Juan Magri Barrera, Jaime Cos Albiñana, Blanca Vila Reyes, Josep Lluís Puigmartí Valdés, Ricardo Ortega Solsona, Inés Carulla Vila, Josep Gajo Santamaría and Esther Fernández Conejo.
